Hey, y’all! (No, I’m not from the South, but everyone should have “y’all” as a phrase, I think.) If you’re new to my blog, welcome! If you’re not new, welcome back! QuilterChic is a fun place to share all things quilting. I love to share quilting tips, product reviews, and other great things that are happening in the quilting world. Just put your email in the subscribe form on the right to keep up-to-date on quilting stuff!
This is Volume 9 of Quiltmaker’s 100 Blocks, and I have had the chance to be in 7 of those volumes! (I missed 2 and 5.) I love this publication, and look forward to seeing all the blocks every time. There are some fabulous blocks this time, so hop on over to Quilty Pleasures to link to today’s other sites.
So, on to my block! I love appliqué and piecing combined, so in this block I used some simple piecing to create the block. I used some fabulous hand-dyed cottons for the appliqué, and sewed two different pieces together before cutting out the appliqué pieces. I hope you like it! It’s block #830 on page 40.
I also made the cover! There it is, 2nd row, right hand side. (I’ve made 3 covers now.)
I also have two published books from Martingale & Co.: Quilt Batik! ©2012 and Fresh and Fabulous Quilts ©2008. You can link to those on the right-hand sidebar, too!
So, if you’re still reading, congratulations! You have made it to the prize section! I am offering 2 copies of Quiltmaker’s 100 Blocks Volume 9, as well as a copy of my book, Quilt Batik! Just leave a comment on this post, sharing your favorite fruit and why. Winners will be chosen randomly, and I’ll send you an email if you’re a winner! I’ll post the winners tomorrow, also.
So, enjoy the rest of the tour, and I hope you enjoyed your visit to my blog!
