Kim Christopherson is the designer of Kimberbell Designs, and designs quilts, sewing projects, and embroidery designs. She has been involved in the DIY industry, being the founder of YouCanMakeThis.com and SWAKembroidery.com. She is the co-host of The DIY Dish on TV, which is a sewing, quilt and craft show. She has also appeared in national TV shows, including Rachael Ray and Nate Berkus. She has been published in several magazines, too.
She has a fun, whimsical style that incorporates piecing and appliqué. Many patterns have some 3-dimensional elements, and she used lots of fun embellishments. Here are a few of her products:
First is One Wonderful Winter! wall hanging. Since it’s still winter and cold, I thought this would be a cute one to have!
Next is One Sweet Spring! It is also a wall hanging, and lets us look forward to spring weather! (I hope it won’t be a long wait.) I love the bunnies and carrots.
Next is a bench pillow called Let’s Go Fly A Kite! I love the bench pillow idea, and now I need a bench! This would be so cute on my porch in the summer.
In keeping with the time of year, the next quilt is Lucky Us! which is a cute St. Patrick’s Day wall hanging, for those that celebrate this holiday. I know the English don’t! In America it is just a day to celebrate, having nothing really to do with being Irish!
This quilt is The “Sharon” Quilt. It is very different from some of Kim’s other designs, but very striking in the black, white and beige color way. (It was named for Kim’s friend, Sharon.)
I love this next quilt, The Mini Kimmy Doll & Quilt set. The quilt has a spot for a darling doll that you make to go with it. You could even make her look like that special girl in your life. So cute!
And along those lines, for the cutest boy in your life, The Mini Monster & Quilt. This is similar, but has an adorable monster in the pocket. Too cute to be a scary monster!
I love this cute table topper for the 4th of July! It is Stars & Stripes. I love the way the piecing and the appliqué work together.
The Last quilt for today is Home Is Where The Haunt Is, which is obviously a Halloween quilt! I love witches hats, and the spider at the end is so adorable!
