I wanted to share some beautiful Christmas quilts with you, as it is the season. I have way too many Christmas quilts, but I love each one of them! They add such warmth (pun intended) to the holiday.
This first quilt is one I was hoping to find an image of, although it’s not the best photo. I would love to do it! Also, another fun holly quilt.
Peppermint & Holly quilt from Quilting the Garden by Barb Adams, Alma Allen & Ricki Creamer, and Happy Holly Days by Diane Volk Harris for Quiltmaker magazine.
These next two are fun, pieced wreaths! I love the different methods and the great, festive fabrics!
Miniature Christmas Wreath Quilt by McCall’s Quilting, and The Christmas Wreath quilt from Quiltmaker magazine.
Then there are our reindeer quilts! I love the antlers on the first one, and this fun appliqué wall hanging is adorable.
Reindeer Magic by Jeri Kelly, and Reindeer quilt by Joan Jones of Seams Like Home.
These last two are fun. The first one is technically a moose, with puzzled reindeer looking on! Then there are these great snowflakes and a reindeer that are gorgeous on the red backgrounds.
Moose on the Loose by Grandma Katee’s Quilts, and Reindeer Frolic by Need’l Love.
Last is my Christmas quilt, Holly Jolly, from my book Fresh and Fabulous Quilts (available to the right.) This quilt was started in darker, traditional fabrics, then I decided I needed a brighter version for publication. So, I made this one, then finished the other one for my bed at Christmas time! I was very tired of holly leaves by then! But I love both versions, and they’re both out at Christmas! The book version has pom-pons in the binding, and I love the appliqué in the border corner! Still one of my faves.
