Inside: Love Valentine’s Day again with this video tutorial from guest designer Teresa Michael.
Did you have “Valentine’s Day boxes” in your elementary school? I loved them! We would take a shoe box and cut a slot in the lid. Then decorate them with all the red and pink construction paper you could find. Of course, the school would send home a list of all the children, so that no one was left out of receiving Valentines. By the time my kids went to school they made their own envelopes. Boo.
Let the Valentine’s love flow with February’s designer, Teresa Michael. She lives in Australia, and she is sharing a video tutorial with us today! Her project is called Strippy Heart Quilt Block, and has everything we love about Valentine’s Day hearts!
Here is more about Teresa in her own words:
Born and raised in Spain, I learned knitting, crochet, and embroidery from my sewer, knitter, lace-making mother.
After moving to Australia as an adult, and after a long “craftless” spell, I caught the crafting bug again, and I became interested in quilting and fabric.
Crafting keeps me sane. I love spending my spare time sewing and designing. I have more crafting projects in my head than I’ll be ever have time to put into practice.
When I’m not sewing I can be found drawing, painting, sculpting, embroidering or felting.
Here’s where you can find Teresa:
Enjoy Valentine’s Day the way it was meant to be enjoyed; with lots of pretty hearts!
