I haven’t highlighted my local quilt shop yet! It is Quilter’s Haven and is located in Bountiful, UT, just 5 miles from my house.
Quilter’s Haven has been in business for 13 years, and it started out in an old home on Main Street. A few years ago it moved to its current location in Colonial Square. It is a way cute space, with wood floors, 2 levels, and a great classroom in the basement. And, of course, there are always beautiful quilts hanging on the walls and draped over their antique bed.
Quilter’s Haven is one of the 10 quilt shops featured in the Spring 2010 Better Homes and Gardens Quilt Sampler magazine! I’ve thought for years they should be featured in it, because its such a great shop. This is a great honor for them! The magazine will be available in May. They are the “home shop” for pattern designer Barbara Jones of Quilt Soup. She has designed the quilt featured in the magazine (and seen below.)
Quilter’s Haven is owned by Joni Thompson, and she has some great quilting products. Joni hosted a book-signing for me last winter, after my book came out. Quilter’s Haven is also the home to a quilt group I belong to, Quilt Addicts, and my applique group, Snippets! They also offer quilting classes and demonstrations.
So, if you’re ever near Bountiful, Utah, and want to see a great quilt shop, stop by Quilter’s Haven and say “Hi!”
