New Quilt Fabric from In The Beginning

In The Beginning… Yes, it’s a phrase from the bible, but it’s also a quilting fabric company! It was started in 1977 as a retail quilt store. It continued to grow until in 1996 a new division to create beautiful fabric was added. It is a family enterprise, started by Sharon Yenter, and now run by her son, Jason.

In The Beginning has some lovely fabrics, and I will share a few offerings with you!

First is Bloom Modern II by Jason Yenter. It is a fun, whimsical line and filled with my beloved bright colors! This will be available in February.

Next is I Heart You by Moon Cookie Gallery. This is exactly the fabric I think of from In The Beginning! The first line I saw from them was like this, with fairies! I love the pen drawings with watercolor technique used to design the pieces. This is currently available.

The next line is Mooshka by Julie Paschkis. It is a beautiful floral with beautiful colors. It almost has a watercolor look, too. This is also currently available.

Here’s a very traditional line, aptly named Circa 1825 by Sharon Yenter and Jason Yenter. It has gorgeous, vintage color ways and patterns. It’s great if you love those Civil War quilts. It will be available in April 2014.

Of course, I always have to include some batiks, and In The Beginning has some gorgeous ones! These are Floragraphix Batiks II. They will be available in March 2014.
