I had  a wonderful 10-day vacation visiting many historic sites in New York, Ohio, Illinois and Missouri! I saw tons of beautiful, antique quilts, and even have a few pictures of some of them. (See entire post)
I also got to see some beautiful Amish quilts in Ohio. We ate dinner at a little Amish place called Mary Yoder’s. They had many wonderful quilts hanging on the walls, all hand quilted.
It may look like déjà vu, but  four of my “babies” are in Tennessee this month! (My other four were in Tennessee last month!) This month’s shop is Tennessee Quilts in Jonesborough, which is Tennessee’s oldest town. Jonesborough has many historic sites and homes, and has many festivals and concerts.
My quilts will be enjoying QuiltFest, which is the largest quilting event in the region! There will be many nationally-known quilt designers and other quilters viewing them! The event is scheduled for July 16-18, 2009. [ MORE » ]
Four of “my babies” (quilts) are visiting Fulton, Illinois for July, at Susan’s Calico Creations. Fulton is on the Mississippi river, and has many historic buildings and sites. Susan’s was opened in 2005 by Susan May. I know I’d love the shop, because they have tons of batiks! Susan has a historic building for her store and uses antique baby cribs to display her fabric.
